I’ve recently illustrated a piece of ‘flash fiction’ (a short short story) written by Alan McCormick for the Stories With Pictures blog. It’s a nice, nostalgic piece, called ‘Flying’, about a girl and her relationship with her grandparents. I won’t bother reproducing it here. Instead, click yourself along to the site itself and read it there. However, I thought it might be nice to share my final image and it’s developmental drawings. The flowery pattern is a scan of an old piece of bathroom wallpaper from my house. The room has been redecorated, now, but I’m glad I kept a sample for future use. You never know when a pink twee pattern may prove to be useful.
